海をじっと見ていると、夜明けに山で交わした友人との会話を思い出す。ニュース報道の裏に隠され、遅れて知らされる映像や出来事が、自分をその記憶に立ち返らせる。
Contemplating the sea brings back a memory of a conversation with a friend in the mountains, at dawn. Images and events come back to me, delayed and trapped behind the screen of a news broadcast.

Bring Them Back Alive explores the advancement of the colonial project with the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869 - wherein flora, fauna and human beings were uprooted and transferred across multiple continents - and highlights a sinister, even surreal, pattern of domination.

『ルーメン（ラテン語で光）』では、アルビニズムの少女の姿がスーパー8の映像で描かれる。この遺伝性の疾患がもたらす過敏症と、肌や目の色素欠乏は、彼女に並々ならぬオーラをまとわせる。
Lumen (light in Latin) is a sensorial film shot in Super 8 that paints a portrait of an adolescent with albinism. The hypersensitivity that this genetic condition engenders and the lack of pigmentation in her skin and eyes lend her an extraordinary aura.

Vidéographe
Established in 1971 in Montréal, Canada, Vidéographe is an artist-run centre dedicated to the research and the dissemination of moving image practices. This includes experimentation in video art, animation, digital arts, documentary, essay, fiction and dance video.

実験映像作家、ビデオアーティスト、インディペンデント・キュレーター。コンコルディア大学にてフィルムアニメーションを専攻し、スタジオアートの修士号（映画制作オプション）を取得。主にスーパー8（8ミリカメラ）、16ミリ、VHSを用いて作品を制作している。
Guillaume Vallée

Experimental filmmaker, video artist and independent curator, Guillaume Vallée graduated from Concordia University with a Major in Film Animation and MFA in Studio Arts - Film Production option. He works mainly on Super 8, 16mm and VHS.
