The Coldest Day of the Year takes place in a future where there has been a cataclysmic event. The narrator believes she has seen another being in this destroyed landscape and attempts to find this figure.

Fever Freaks

A detective is hired to find the original copy of a lost ancient book that recounts the tale of a plague. Fever Freaks uses individual frames from Pasolini’s 1974 film Arabian Nights to illustrate a passage of Burroughs’ 1981 book Cities of the Red Night.

Lèvres bleues

CGI アニメーションにより、恋人との思い出の再現を試みた作品。その記憶は、出来事、物体、動き、そして五感を通して画面に現れる。

In making Lèvres bleues, Philippe Hamelin was interested in using computer-generated imagery as a reconstructive tool - in this case using it to reconstruct a lover's memory. The memory takes form through matter, objects, movement and the senses.




Established in 1971 in Montréal, Canada, Vidéographe is an artist-run centre dedicated to the research and the dissemination of moving image practices. This includes experimentation in video art, animation, digital arts, documentary, essay, fiction and dance video.

Guillaume Vallée 
Curator of Vidéographe shorts 1&2

Experimental filmmaker, video artist and independent curator, Guillaume Vallée graduated from Concordia University with a Major in Film Animation and MFA in Studio Arts - Film Production option. He works mainly on Super 8, 16mm and VHS.
